Fabulous One(or two) Ingredient Ice Cream

I'm updating and reposting this blog from two years ago. It is summertime and everyone is busy making homemade ice cream and it's so good and so hard to resist.

Here's a healthy alternative that is quick, easy and so much healthier for us.

Banana or Banana Strawberry Ice Cream

*Original blog here....

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes and done it myself in my kitchen, I probably wouldn't have believed it. I had heard about one ingredient ice cream made with nothing more than a few frozen bananas, but I confess I had my doubts, so I decided to put it to the test....

I also had another ingredient I wanted to add....

Summertime Toes~Nail Fungus Help with Essential Oils

Flip Flop and sandal season has arrived and it's a busy time at the nail salons.

Living life in flip flops sounds lovely, but it's anything but lovely when you fight toenail fungus.

Nobody wants ugly toenails and nail fungus is not a pretty sight.

I know, it's something I fight with my big toenails when I paint them.

The podiatrist's nurse told me that many people get toenail fungus after painting their toenails. I never had a problem until I made the mistake of wearing hiking boots that were just a tiny bit too small.

A few years back, I lost both nails from my big toes. This was after I wore those hiking boots that were about a half size too small. Coming down a steep mountain trail for two miles, every step I took, my big toenails hit against the end of my boots. I had no idea the damage that was being done at the time.

It wasn't long until the nails from my big toes simply fell off. The constant pushing against the cuticle had simply torn them loose. Since that time, I've had a problem. This year, I'm armed and ready with a solution!

Flip Flops aren't the only footwear that show off our toenails however. The most formal attire can include sandals.

How to Make Your Own Healthy Almond Milk at Home

This is just a little top note to an old blog this morning, but as I was making some almond milk I realized it's been a while since I've shared the process.

I'm a simple person, often the simplest of things can amaze me....

Making almond milk does that, it really amazes me.

Every time I get through with a batch, I look at that jug of milk and think,

"wow...look what I made from a bunch of nuts!"

The original part of this blog post, with the instructions for making almond milk, seems a bit in depth to me now, I have to say I've streamlined my process a bit.

However, I think that for the benefit of those just beginning to learn to make their own milk from a bunch of nuts(you can use other types of nuts too), I'll leave the in depth instructions just as they are.

After you've made it a few times, you'll find your own "groove" so to speak.

So then....on to the recipe and instructions.
