It seemed like every summer my daddy got what he called a "summer cold." I think I remember him saying they were worse that the winter ones.
I figure a cold is a cold no matter the season, it's just that we tend to stay in bed more in the winter and eat chicken soup, in the summer, we're wanting to enjoy the out of doors, so we end up being miserable longer.
The duration of a cold depends on your body's immune system which is dependent upon the foods we eat and the fluids we drink and the activities we participate in.
Here are a few tips to help you ward off the cold viruses.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water
- Keep some sort of hand sanitizer with you(preferably homemade with an Essential Oil Preventative Blend)
- Drink plenty of fluids
- Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins and protein.
